GENERAL FEATURES & DESCRIPTION :

The TESTER is designed and manufactured on the guidelines IS: 1528(Part-3)-1983 for (a) Small Prism method at temperatures up to 1400 °C with 5 Prism Samples using the Insert type Door and (b) Water Quench method at 1300 °C for a set of 3 Standard Brick Samples, using the said Accessories to form the Slots Hot-face Super Refractory insulation backed by low heat capacity refractory and Fibrous insulations of different grades EQUIPMENT for ΔT-SPALLING TEST (1550 °C ) of Refractory Materials, having RAISING-HEARTH type Vertical axis Furnace having 1800 Grade MoSi2 heating Elements Vertically suspended on 4 corner directly radiating on the heating cavity to derive symmetrical heat distribution and Hot-face Super Refractory Mullite insulation backed by low heat capacity refractory and Fibrous insulations of different grades
  • Thyristorised Circuitry with adjustable Current limit and Soft-Start features for maximum protection to Heating Elements and for simple control of heat-up rate.
  • Micro-processor based Digital PID Temperature Controller / Programmer with Pt/Rh Thermocouple (Type ‘R’ or ‘B’) in pure Alumina Sheath.
  • Temperature Control Accuracy within ± 1°C of set point.
  • Temperature uniformity within ± 5°C near T'max with soaking.
  • Reduced risk of Furnace damage, Cheaper and easier maintenance.
